This section is Bailable, Cognizable and Non-compoundable.

Triable By :

Any Magistrate

Punishment :

Imprisonment for 6 months, or fine, or both.

i gave blank cheque to some one he fill the amount 1555000 hence cheque has been bounced with comments that bank a/c closed he file the case against me

Cheque was eight years old
Sign was eight years old
Cheque is bounce from bank
Because of insufficiant fund
This matter is positive in ipc section 138?

I have given personal loan of Rs. 2 lacs on 26.3.14 to my friend out of this amount he gave me a cheque of Rs. 50000/- on 15.3.2015, which was bounced.
can I file a case under IPC 138 in this case & where I have to file a case
